This item has undergone repairs. This is a basic microcassette recorder with two speeds and a fast play option. The sound from microcassette recorders is lo-fi, good for voice dictation purposes or as an effect. The listing does not include batteries or tapes. Repair Notes: All micro cassette recorders that I sell are repaired as needed. Typical repairs include belt replacement, cleaning of switch contacts (especially the record/playback switch), and the removal of old sticky grease from the internal mechanism. In addition to resolving mechanical and electrical faults, I also take the time to calibrate the motor speed on each unit so that the sound is consistent across different recorders. Functionality: This micro cassette recorder has been fully repaired & tested and all functions are verified to be working The speed adjustment on this recorder is approximate. Unfortunately there's only one speed calibration that's shared by both the low and high speeds, and one of those speeds always under- or overshoots by an audibly unacceptable amount if the other is adjusted perfectly. To counteract this I split the difference and made the slow speed a tiny bit fast and the fast speed a tiny bit slow. Neither speed is perfectly accurate, but in most cases the inaccuracy isn't easily noticeable on either speed. Cosmetic Condition: Cosmetic condition is decent for the age of the device Marks, scratches, and other blemishes are present Please check photos for a full assessment of cosmetic condition Shipping is via USPS Ground Advantage - this is the most economical option. My handling time is officially 3 days, though I always strive to get items out on the next day if possible. I usually do scheduled pickup, so please be aware that USPS sometimes takes a day or two to update its shipping tracker. Breakable items are always packed safely and securely to withstand any possible mishandling during shipment.
