He has no chips but the glaze on the back (only the back) has begun to crack, shown in pictures. Both head and body have the artist's signature clearly shown, shown in pictures. The original box has yellowed with age and has wear but is still incredibly sturdy. Found the original receipt at the bottom of the box from September 29th, 1978 which the original owner paid $21.78 for the cookie jar. The white plastic insert has cracked, shown in pictures, most that sell today don't have the original insert at all anymore due to damage and age.
